The COVID-19 virus has swept across the country and the whole world, which has once again sounded the alarm of strengthening international environmental governance. For a long time, human beings' blind pursuit of economic growth and personal pleasures has put the earth on the line. With the development and progress of human society, environmental problems are constantly arising. They fill every corner of the earth and have evolved into a global threat that cannot be ignored.
With the support of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government, the Macau Fair & Trade Association, Guangdong and Macao Federation of Industry and Commerce, and MICE Alliance of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area are planning to jointly organize the “International Environmental Crisis Management Forum and Exhibition”, aiming at an in-depth summary and promotion of China's experience of environmental governance and crisis response, so as to continuously improve the response methods of and solutions to environmental crisis management, promote the cooperation among cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to cope with environmental crises including infectious diseases, wildfires, floods, windstorm disasters, insect pests, etc., and improve citizens, enterprises and government departments’ awareness of epidemic prevention and natural disasters.
